This is a video podcast that I developed for the Emerging Web 2.0 Technologies and Learning (EDTECH-467) class that I took at PSU which was accepted as a transfer for the ED-530 class offered at Wilkes. This was an interview and demonstration of two teachers that I taught with in North Carolina.
Share your Story Digital Learning
This is the technology-based presentation for regular classroom teachers for the Computer Assisted Language Learning (ESL-509) class, which focuses on blogging and digital storytelling.
Tech Day 2017
Each year at the IU I put together a student Tech Day where we work with different technology and programs. This year we focused on Coding useing code.org, programing using Lego WeDo, collabrotive creative construction using Minecraft, digital designing and 3D printing and digital movie creation. The program is run with students from grades 3nd-6th and is attended by about 50 students from most of the districts we serve.
For the last three years I had the oppurtunity to present at the PETE&C conference. I have presented on a number of different topics like Nearpod, Web 2.0 tools, Google and iPads in the classroom. I try my best to find other educators to help share what they are doing in the classroom and be a co=presenter with me.
Power your Future Exhibit
From 2013-2014 I worked as the Professional Development/ Curriculum Coordinator at the Clay Center for Arts and Science in Charleston, West Virginia. It was during this time that I was part of the design team that development and built the "Power your Future" mobile exhibit that featured activities in the STEM content areas. This exhibit currently tours through West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Kentucky.
